Define the target and limits
Provide the excavation location, target utility, expected depth, hole dimensions and any drawings or locate information. Identify nearby infrastructure and explain whether several exposure points are planned in one visit.
Review truck access and setup
Share overhead obstructions, ground conditions, hose distance, traffic constraints and where spoil or water can be managed. A photo or marked plan helps confirm whether the equipment can be positioned safely.
Coordinate with the site plan
Confirm permits, traffic controls, site orientation, utility owner requirements and the process for documenting the exposed asset. Hydrovac does not replace the project’s locate process or excavation safety plan.
