Separate networks in the drawing
Use the asset owner’s naming, colour convention and structure numbers to distinguish sanitary from storm runs. Mark the direction of travel and note whether connections, catch basins or outfalls are included. Do not assume a nearby structure belongs to the same network.
Describe conditions that affect visibility
Active flow, sediment, roots and debris can affect the view in either system. Storm assets may also connect to catch basins or culverts that need a different access plan. Note any known wet-weather constraints or discharge rules.
Match the deliverable to the owner
Confirm whether the project requires a standard coding framework, native data file, continuous video, still photos or only a condition record. Reporting needs vary by municipality and contract; use the current project documents.
