Confirm the asset and authority
Identify the pipe, structures, property boundary and utility owner. Provide approved drawings, permit conditions and written direction describing what must be decommissioned.
Define the work method and access
The specification should clarify isolation, cleaning, material, placement, access and how connected services will be addressed. Note traffic, excavation, discharge and site restoration requirements.
Document completion
Agree on inspection footage, photos, material records, location references and sign-off process. Retain the approved documents and final records with the project file.
