Define every run
List upstream and downstream structures, pipe IDs, diameters, materials and approximate lengths. Mark the limits on the latest drawing and identify any laterals, leads or branches that are included. Clear identifiers make it easier to connect a video file to the correct asset during review.
Prepare access and visibility
Confirm manhole access, water conditions, traffic controls and work windows. Sediment, standing water or active flow may limit what a camera can show. Ask whether flushing, vacuum removal or a return visit is part of the scope.
Agree on handover files
Specify video format, naming convention, observation notes, still images, coding and portal upload requirements before dispatch. The current owner specification governs; a generic checklist cannot replace it.
