01

The first pass identifies visibility limits

If debris, sediment or standing water prevents useful observation, record the affected distance and discuss cleaning or a different access approach. A baseline video can help explain why a follow-up pass is proposed.

02

Cleaning and inspection answer different questions

Flushing moves material; CCTV records visible conditions. A post-cleaning pass can show the operator what is visible after the agreed work, but it does not prove that every defect has been removed or that a pipe is structurally sound.

03

Agree on the repeat scope

Specify which runs are to be re-inspected, whether the same direction and identifiers will be used, and how the additional video will be named. Include any revised reporting or portal requirements.
